How our information works
Profiles
Profiles may be seeded from factual public business information and documented source records. “Unclaimed” means the business has not yet confirmed control of the profile. “Claimed” means identity/control was confirmed; it does not mean every fact or customer claim is independently verified.
Verified customer experiences
When this feature is active, only approved experiences tied to a verified customer-provider relationship can affect the public 0–5 star rating. We verify that the relationship existed, not every opinion or claimed result. One active overall rating is allowed per verified relationship.
Privacy
Sensitive evidence used to verify a relationship is private, access-controlled, non-indexed, and not shown to the reviewed provider. A verified customer may be publicly named or shown as “Verified customer — identity withheld.”
Recommendations
Provider fit can consider factors such as company needs, size, geography, software, pricing, relevant industry experience, verified usage, and outcomes. We explain the categories of evidence used, but do not publish proprietary matching weights, anti-fraud thresholds, or other mechanics that would make the system easier to game.
Commercial relationships
Payment or affiliation cannot buy verification, improve a customer rating, or override objective provider-fit evidence. Material commercial relationships are disclosed contextually when relevant to a recommendation or introduction.
